Our planned maintenance agreements are bespoke to suit your installation whatever the size and specification.

The frequency of visits required will be discussed and agreed within you to ensure your system is working efficiently for you.


Every maintenance agreement will cover the following parts as standard.


Low Pressure Switch                                Refrigerant

High Pressure Control                              Condenser Coil

Running Capacitor                                    Condenser Fan Blade

Starting Capacitor                                     Condenser Motor

Crankcase Heater                                     Contractor

Standard Air Conditioning Preventative Maintenance Agreement


Any parts not listed above and the labour associated with their replacement, will be invoiced at the prevailing parts and labour rates. Environmental disposal fee is included.



Maintenance Check


Maintenance checks are carried out by engineers that hold a current F Gas Refrigerant Handling Qualification and include;


  • Check start and running current

  • Check unit operation, controls and settings

  • Checking of system running pressures

  • Checking of system temperatures

  • Check filters – clean or replace as necessary

  • Check for adequate refrigerant charge

  • Check condensate drain / pump for blockage. Clean as necessary

  • Check fan, fan motor, compressor and compressor mountings

  • Check air ducts, air grilles, and insulation

  • Check refrigerant pipe work for integrity and thermal insulation

  • Check expansion valves

  • Check for vibration and noise

  • Check Fault codes

  • Check all electrical components

  • Inspect evaporator coil cleanliness

  • Evaporator coil sprayed with specialist fluid – improves efficacy, disinfects and odour reduction

  • Outdoor Condenser cleaned with specialist fluid – improve efficacy, removes dirt build up , improves air flow

  • Full leak check in line with current legislation* (see leak check procedure)

  • Full system report on each system

  • System details tagged

  • Make recommendations of any needed repairs to the system


Leak Check


  • Checks carried out by engineers that hold a current Refrigerant Handling Qualification

  • All flared connections checked on both indoor and outdoor units

  • All other connection on indoor and outdoor units checked

  • All accessible pipe work checked

  • Checks performed with electronic leak detector or spray where necessary

  • Documentation provided by engineer on systems over 3kg to demonstrate leak test has been completed

This preventative service will be carried out during normal working hours, Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30 pm unless otherwise agreed in advance.


It is the clients’ responsibility to schedule the service at recommended intervals, additionally we do offer a complimentary reminder service. Kooltouch Ltd accepts no responsibility for missed services.
